Arianism: The Denial of the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
Well, as promised on a previous post (Apollinarianism: The Video), Rik and I have made a video on YouTube on the subject of Arianism. This is the second in a series called The A-Z of Heresies.
The video is entitled “Arianism – The Denial of the Deity of Christ” because that is what Arianism is. It is actually more than that – it is anti-Trinitarian – but we have concentrated on the attack against the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ in this video.

There is so much more that could have been said but we wanted to try and keep it as short as possible. Have you noticed, for example, that many modern versions of the Bible seem to have been edited by Arians? Where is “the only begotten Son of God” in the NIV? 1 John 5:7 is reduced to a footnote. And so we could go on.
The other thing that could have been said, of course, is that Arianism is alive and well today – the so-called Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Next up, if the Lord will, Arminianism. I’m looking forward to that one!
