What is Apollinarianism?  Well, I have to admit that we have rather simplified Apollinaris’s (or Apollinarius’s) views but essentially it is the denial of the truth that the Lord Jesus Christ had a human soul.  Apollinaris taught that instead of a human spirit or mind, the Lord’s mind or spirit was divine.  He was attempting to challenge the Arians who denied the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ but in doing so he ended up denying the full and real humanity of the Saviour.
